We Need You Now More Than Ever!
The past year has been difficult for everyone: a global pandemic, a national lockdown, record job losses. The City of Lawrence was hit especially hard, consistently reporting some of the highest average daily incidence rates of COVID-19 in the State of Massachusetts. Despite the pandemic, Lawrence Prospera's clients and program participants needed our services more than ever.
The SISU Center went from providing daily breakfast and lunch for 80 young people to delivering 40 care packages a week to young people and their families
The SISU Center and Quintana Center adopted a remote format for most programming and classes in order to maintain social distancing and public health standards
Lawrence Prospera purchased an additional 20 Chromebooks and laptops to ensure that SISU participants could remotely continue their HiSET and Workforce Development classes
The needs of the population that Lawrence Prospera serves requires face to face interaction. Despite the continuing risks of the pandemic, as Massachusetts began to re-open so did Lawrence Prospera's in-person programming. By late last summer, most Lawrence Prospera staff had moved from a fully remote to in-person service model, and programming was again adapted to fit a hybrid model.
Lawrence Prospera was able to adapt because of the resilience of our clients and our staff. The services we are providing in person are increasing weekly. As Lawrence Prospera and the rest of the country transition back to some semblance of normal, we continue to need your help Now More Than Ever!
Here are a few ways You can make a difference:
* $ 50 - Assist one Citizenship Client with the Green Card Process
* $100 - Assist one Citizenship Client complete and file the N-400 Application for Adult Citizenship
* $300 - Provides a weekly stipend for a SISU Young Person participating in programming and meeting their goals
* $1,000 - Purchase $50 Market Basket Gift cards for 20 SISU participants and their families
